Dmitry Bolshakov, co-founder of Botman. One, on how a low-code platform for lawyers is transforming the profession.

Question: Dmitry, you started your career in the banking sector. How did you come up with the idea of automating legal processes?
Answer:
When I was working as a leading specialist at a bank, our department constantly received standard requests for document analysis. Often, their review took hours due to incomplete data or missing documents.
I thought: what if we create a tool that would immediately indicate what’s missing?
That’s how the idea for the first chatbot came about.

Question: How did the management react to your bot idea?
Answer:
When I showed the bot, they said, "Do you want us all to get fired?"
The idea was kept only for internal use, but later I implemented such a system in one of the major banks—and it worked.

Question: Why did you decide to leave banking and create Botman.one?
Answer:
I wanted to scale the solution. Then I found a developer to bring the product to the masses. That’s how Botman.one came about—a constructor that allows you to automate legal work without programming.

Question: What do you teach in the "Contract Builder" course?
Answer:
In the first lesson, I show lawyers how to use artificial intelligence to mark up a contract for a future constructor. I also demonstrate the constructor itself and show that creating automated documents is not a difficult skill, but a very useful one for modern professionals. After all, no large business can operate for long on manually processed legal documents.

Question: What would you say to lawyers who are hesitant about automation?
Answer:
Technology is not a threat—it’s your competitive advantage. Those who learn to work with it faster will spend less time on templates and more on what truly brings value to the business client.
